RE: Sloppy fit using Cardas RCA plugs

Good afternoonm, scruffy:

Here's what you can try.

1. Disconnect the interconnects from the device/component first.
2. Using a thin but strong flat blade screw bit/driver or butter knife (ones that don't have to much serrations...even better would be a strong plastic flat pry bar) and insert it between the RCA's outer shell and the metal ground sections (should be 3-4 of them).
3. Press the flat head/knife towards the center pin (hot).
4. Apply even pressure between the RCA casing and the metal ground on each metal ground section and then bending the ground section inwards (towards the center hot pin) a very slight amount as too much will prevent the RCA from being reinserted into the plug on the device/component.
5. This should fix the looseness (as I've done this before).

Note: If the RCA's are of the type that the metal ground sections are not encased/surrounded by an out metal housing, then you would need to use a set of pliers to squeeze the metal grounds towards the center hot pin... might be good to wrap the metal ground section with some tape to avoid scratching the plating.

Sincerely,
Kingsley.
