Can highly recommend the Clear Day.Probably should audition the speaker cable at the same time. The IC is slightly "soft" in the top-end,but retains its' musicality.Very solid performer everywhere else. The SC is slightly" dark" up-top.Maybe the Berylium copper connectors.
On the used IC market, check out the entry High Fidelity CT-1.These cables tend to give a good slice of everything-very balanced in SQ.
As an alternative to the Clear Day SC,you might contact Keith at kallenscath@gmail.com.He has sourced a military surplus wire that is stunning. It is a stranded copper cable that is silver-plated.Very neutral and extended without sounding so.He was offering auditions.Get it w/o the extra jacketing. The cable is white colored and should be shot-gunned,similar to the Clear Day DBL-SG.Have him mark directionality.Run toward speaker on"+" and toward amp on the "-" return.
Around $400 for 8' pair of shotguns.
Happy hunting.
