Parts Connexion sells a multi-strand nickel-plated copper, 12 gauge teflon jacketed wire. Without trying to sound stupid, what is the purpose of the nickel plating? I am thinking it has something to do with the magnetism that rides along with the A/C power, because nickel sounds horrible as a signal carrying metal. Any thoughts would be appreciated
