RE: Solid core silver speaker wire

I made some speaker cables about 15 years ago. I used 16g solid silver with Teflon coating. Followed the suggestion by Pierre Spey to run four wires to each speaker under the floor separated by a couple of inches in parallel runs and used predrilled wood to act as a loom attached to the bottom of the floor joists. The length of the run is somewhere between 20 and 30 feet (can't remember exactly) I've always thought they sounded fine and have no desire to replace them.
