I found these IC's that I made a few years back and took out the silver IC's and the music was more to my liking. With the silvers in there it was bright at the top and the bass just didn't do it for me. I know the silvers are a totally different wire. It's just that the overall tonality was much better to my ears. I do have to say it makes sense that speaker choke winding wire would be a good choice as it is used in speaker crossovers in series with other components and the signal has to pass through it so why not as an IC? These home made IC's are just more musical.
