I've seen several older threads here on this topic and thought I'd share my recent experience and throw this out for consideration and comment. After making a change in one of my interconnects in my digital chain which modified the sound, I also switched around a few of my power cords resulting in improvements in clarity. Specifically, I removed the Gutwire B-12 from wall to power conditioner and replaced it with the Wireworld Electra 5.2 which had been on the Musical Fidelity tube buffer situated between my CD player and preamp. I replaced it with an Audioquest NRG-2. This appears to portend that the power cable on the power conditioner can have a significant impact on the sound and may be the most significant pc, at least in some systems. In this instance, the impact on imaging and soundstage depth impacted my other sources as well.
