I already own one set of Crimson ICs and two sets of Crimson speaker cables (one for stereo power amps and shorter ones for my monos). These replaced Audio Note Vx Silver ICs, a Lexus and a set of Audio Note SPx speaker cable. I still have one set of Audio Note Lexus cables running from my preamp to my stereo power amp (or monos).
I just ordered another set of Crimsons to bridge almost the last gap.
I was previously sold on Audio Note cables, but moved to Crimson after I heard them at RMAF several years in the Crimson and Amherst Audio rooms. What immediately struck me was how transparent they were and how I heard more of the dynamics of BIG classical music pieces.
Each step on my "upgrade" path has brought more of these two aspects to the recorded music i listen to. The third will step i just made will hopefully bring me more of the same.
I still have some AN cables in a closet and a pair of AN Vx ICs hooked between my bedside DAC and tube headphone amp. I keep them, well, because you never know when you might need them, but i can probably sell them, used, for more than i would pay for a new pair of Crimsons.
Anyway, these are remarkable cables for any amount of money.
