Home Cable Asylum

Interconnects, speaker wire, power cords. Ask the Cable Guys.

I did the same thing for connection to my vintage Scott integrated. My adapters were DIY however. With the Scott, the stock terminal strip is small, smaller spades need to be used compared to the larger connections on much of todays gear. I made a right angle adapter using smaller spades and Banana binding posts. I saw these available by some brand name manufacturer or well known dealer and basically copied the idea. Not sure it's the best way to go (adapters) but it's been sounding good for 10+ years. Point is, adapters are a viable alternative, especially if you arent sure whether you want to change the wire terminations for whatever reason.
