I bought the power cord about 2 weeks ago. I can't say that I've noticed a tremendous break-in change over the time. It sounded very nice right out of the box. I've tried various dyi cords, the VH Audio 4 and the Black Sand Violet. The LessLoss is significantly different than these.
When I plugged it into my system (Shindo Aurieges, McIntosh MC225, Sony SCD777, Gallo 3.1) I was surprised by its lovely tone. From previous reviews I was afraid that the pc would be too analytical in its detail. Although the detail and resolution are definitely a strength, it doesn't achieve this by washing away the tonal warmth of the tube gear. If anything, in my system the balance tends to favor the mid to bass range. There is no leading edge to the sound; the instruments have a very nice attack (not blunt or rounded but not edgy either). There is some smearing of arpeggios. Overall the pc has great dimensionality and soundstage. The background is very quiet, so there is quite a bit of depth to the sound. It does a very nice job of presenting an organic (or non-compartmentalized) relationship to the instruments.
I'm quite happy with the LessLoss pc and am inaterested to hear if they'll continue to evolve. I'd buy another one at the price. I haven't heard any big hitter pcs so I don't know how it compares with higher-priced cords.
